Useful advice

• Use third person pronoun, eg. "The varnish was dissolved by solvents." NOT "I dissolved the varnish by solvents."
• Organize the text in such a way that it has title, introduction, main text, (methodology of work, discussion about the results) conclusion and bibliography.
• Do not use CAPS in order to pinpoint words or sentences, unless it is an acronym (eg. UV fluorescence, ICOM – International Committee of Museums).
• Mentioning an institution or technique for the first time, write its full name, eg. International Committee of Museums (ICOMOS thereafter) or Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR thereafter).
• Names of works of art should be written in Italics. It is desirable to write the date of creation, technique used, and the name of owner (eg. Constantin Brancusi, Sleeping Muse, 1910, bronze, The Metropolitan Museum of Art).
• Numbers from one to ten should be written as words.
