• The poster text must be in English.
• Deadlines for submitting poster applications is April 1, 2019

We kindly ask that you respect the assigned deadlines.

General guidelines for posters:

• Poster dimensions should be 100 x 70 cm. The poster should be positioned vertically (portrait).
• The poster text is in English.
• Include the poster title, author(s), mentor(s), name of institution, name of department, field of specialization and e-mail address of contact person on top of the poster.
• Include '16th International Conference of Conservation-Restoration Studies, Dubrovnik April 11th - 13th, 2019' at the bottom of the poster.
• The poster must be comprehensive and legible at a 2 m distance, so keep in mind the type and size of fonts. • Photographs should be clear and sharp, with adequate resolution. We recommend putting a black frame around the pictures, of about 2 mm thickness. • Do not use endnotes or footnotes. Mark the notes with square brackets and list them at the end of the text. • All posters will be displayed in frames, covered with glass, so take that into account. • While listing references, stick to the following guidelines:

Book
SURNAME, Name, Book title : subtitle, publication information, place of publication : publisher, year of publication

for two or more authors:
SURNAME 1, Name 1; Name 2 SURNAME 2; Name 3 SURNAME 3, Book title : subtitle, publication information, place of publication : publisher, year of publication

Paper in publication
SURNAME, Name, "Paper title : subtitle", Title of publication, volume/year, issue, editor, place of publication : publisher, year of publication, pages first-last

Paper in on-line publication or on web page
(SURNAME, Name), "Document title", Name of web page / Title of on-line publication, (editor), complete URL (<http://...>), date of publication and/or date of accessing

For other examples of listing references, see guidelines for full papers.

Useful advice:

• Posters should be structured as scientific work, which means the text should have a title, introduction, elaboration of topic (methodology, discussion of results), conclusion and list of references/bibliography.
• If necessary, include acknowledgements.
• Use the space efficiently, but do not crowd the poster with pictures or text. There is no need to show every detail of your work, as poster authors are going to have a short oral presentation.
• Choose an appropriate background colour. Be it light or dark, pay attention to the colour of your text so to achieve good contrast, and allow for easier reading.
• Use vivid colours only to emphasize. Don’t use more than two fonts. Don’t use capital letters.
• Titles and subtitles should be larger than the body of the text, but not disproportionately. Be consistent in text formatting.
• Add numbers to pictures.

IMPORTANT:

• The poster text must be in English.
• Authors are required to secure funds for printing the posters themselves.
• The frames for poster presentation will be supplied by the organizers.
• The posters will be put up on the April 20th and taken down on the April 22nd. During this time and in between talks, the authors should stay close to the posters and be available to answer questions by the participants. Poster presentations will be scheduled in the conference programme.
• The deadline for sending finished posters in digital format for publication on the conference website is April 7th, 2019
• The finished poster should be sent in .pdf format.
