Abstract
In July and September 2014, a didactic workshop was developed in the baptistery of San Giovanni in Fonte, Naples. In the restoration project were involved the Superior Institute for Conservation and Restoration, Special Suprintendence for Historical Artistical and Ethno-Anthropological Heritage and Museum Centre of Naples and Suor Orsola Benincasa University. Our intervention purpose was to deepen the study of executive tecnique of the mosaic, even with the assistance of diagnostic measures, and to realize a general project for its conservation. Mosaic conditions, indeed, were compromized by continuous water infiltrations from the roof and by microclimatic problems of the environment. Finally, the gourp attempted to activate a better reading of the figurative device, which in 2014 was quite fragmentary because of the fillings of numerous lacunae, sometimes really wide, realized in different times and ways from Middleage until the last century.

Short biographies
GIULIA ALLEGRETTI DE LISTA was born in Naples on February 27th, 1993. Since she was a child she is attending a dancing accademy. She is currently studying, at the Suor Orsola Benincasa University of Naples, conservation and restoration of stone materials and architecture decorated surfaces.
ELENA FONDACARO was born in Naples on June 11th, 1994. At the age of 16, she attended a drawing and painting class in Palazzo Spinelli in Florence. She is currently studiyng restoration of stone materials and architecture decorated surfaces at the Suor Orsola Benincasa University, Naples.
VALERIA PAPPALARDO was born in Nocera Inferiore on the October 8th, 1993. Since 2013 she is part of an acting company, Collettivoacca teatro. She is currently studiying conservation and restoration of stone materials and architecture decorated surfaces at the Suor Orsola Benincasa University, Naples.
