Summary
Theme of this presentation is restoration and conservation of wall paintings in the church of sv. Martin in Umag. The objective of the project was to protect the fragments of the wall paintings from further decay. Fragments were mechanically cleaned, desalinated, consolidated with vacuum method and the process has been documented with written and photographic data. Series of laboratory tests were carried out during the conservation and restoration process. Archaeological researches were conducted in 2010/2011 while the conservation and restoration of the fragments began in 2012 and was completed at the beginning of 2013.
