ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
On behalf of the Department of Conservation-Restoration of the Arts Academy, Split, we would like to invite you to be part of the Twelfth International Conference of the Conservation-Restoration Studies, scheduled to take place on 23 to 25 April 2015 (Thursday, Friday and Saturday), in Split, Croatia.
The objective of the Conference is to present practical and research projects carried out by students of conservation and restoration, alongside their teachers and other practicing professionals. While the first Conferences were attended solely by students studying at Croatian universities (Zagreb, Split, Dubrovnik), they later turned into an international meeting. The Conference has a particularly productive history of participation of Slovenian students of conservation-restoration, and the last year’s Eleventh Conference included, for the first time, students from Austria, Hungary, Poland and Germany. It is our wish to retain and develop this international character of the Conference. This year we are looking forward to host our colleague students and teachers from the newly established Department for Conservation-Restoration of the University of Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
The Conference is open to students from all specializations in conservation and restoration, regardless of their year of study. Students can present their work in the form of oral presentation (with a PPT presentation) or a poster display. Application guidelines for both oral and poster presentations are available on this website (AUTHORS).
This year's official languages of the Conference are Croatian and English. The Conference programme includes a guided tour of the historic centre of Split with a specialist guide. The Conference is open to the public.
Due dates:
Application for oral presentation: 16 March 2015
Application for poster presentation: 17 April 2015
Submission of the full text of the oral presentation: 17 April 2015
Submission of the PPT presentation: 21 April 2015
Please visit our Important Dates page for more details.
Please note that students who plan to deliver their presentations in Croatian should submit an extensive summary in English. Also their PPT presentations must be in English, containing all relevant information concerning the subject and content of the presentation, in order to make it possible for participants who do not know Croatian to follow their presentation.
Students who intend to give the presentations in English, should submit a short summary in English.
The full texts of presentation, and the posters should be written in English. We kindly remind you that application guidelines for both oral and poster presentations are available on this website.
